INTRODUCING K SERIES TOOTH SYSTEM
Hammerless
Drive-through
K SERIES DESIGN
INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL
- Feature: Tips install with slight twist and are secured with a one-piece retainer
- Advantage:
1) The harder the tip digs in tough materials, the tighter it grips
2) Less tip movement and nose wear ;
- Benefit: Better tip retention and longer adapter life
- Feature: Opposing sloped side rails and flanks help keep the tip on the nose as the retainer is being
installed
and removed.
- Advantage: Reduces the chance of tip slipping off the adapter during installation and removal
- Benefit: Angle of installation is less critical
One Piece Vertical Retainer
- Feature: Low force is required. No special tools needed
- Advantage: Fast and easy to install and remove
- Benefit: Reduces machine downtime for tip change
- Feature: Same retainer is used for K80 – K100
- Advantage: Only one part number to inventory
- Benefit: Reduces chance of using wrong size, reduces tip loss
- Feature: Vertical orientation is easily accessible
- Advantage:
1) Fast, easy R & I
2) Close spaced adapters
- Benefit: Reduces machine down time for tip change; allows adapters to be closely spaced
- Feature: Drive-through retainer installed or removed from top or bottom; Hammerless retainer installed and removed from top; can not be installed backwards
- Advantage:
1) Fast and easy installation and removal;
2) Ensures correct installation
- Benefit: Reduces machine down time for tip change out, reduced tip loss, less frustration
More Secure Retention System
Retainer Location
- Feature: Retainer locks to the tip ear, completely independent of the adapter nose
- Advantage:
1) New locking surface with each tip
2) Eliminates pin bending
- Benefit: Reduces tip loss
- Feature: Retainer is located on the side of adapter in low wear, low stress area
- Advantage: Tip wear doesnot affect system integrity
- Benefit: Reduced cost and greater reliability
